I believe they also approved were your charitable contributions up to $1,000 ($2,000 for MFJ) even if you take the standard deduction.

As always, work with a tax professional for your personal situation as the best strategy to lower taxes may be different for you! C corps can directly deduct charitable expenses, however pass through businesses require it to be a business expense (aka marketing or advertising).

I really always appreciate your videos and financial literacy but I want to push back just the tiniest bit on the "don't pay taxes to this administration" unfortunately, our taxes are not chosen or designated to specific parts of the government. It is a large fund that funds everything including the programs we do like - like planned parenthood, national forests, grants, schooling, etc. so while you are taking away taxes from the military and Ice and such you are also taking away taxes from very necessary programs that need those taxes and tax dollars. Also unfortunately every administration funds DHS and the military so targeting one administrations budget won't really move the needle unless you have a long term plan to derail tax money somewhere. Again, I love your content but wanted to add some nuance to a discussion happening online to a conversation of "don't pay this administration"
