This is my favorite show of all time. I have re watched it from start to finish multiple times. In my opinion while I love Robin, she was not the same character from the beginning of the show. Her and Ted’s character development there was a massive shift in their relationship and connection. I loved Robin and Ted together in the beginning of the series. The more the show progressed and Robin and Ted evolved they no longer were compatible in a romantic relationship. Ted romanticize Robin into a person he thought she was not who she actually was. By the end of the series Barney and Robin made a lot more sense. Barney loved Robin for who she was not for who he wanted to her to be. With the ending the problem isn’t that Ted and Robin got back together, it was how fast it happened. I would have loved to see more of Tracy and Ted’s relationship. I think the ending would have done better if there was more time in between.
