Whenever I’d travel with my family when I was younger, I always had a hard time enjoying them but now as I’ve learned to navigate them myself, I enjoy them so much more! I don’t listen to music every time I’m in a museum but sometimes I do and then the album reminds me of the art in the future! So maybe do it mindfully and consider what music you think would go well with the art as an alternative to no music at all or just having an algorithm pick it for you?

The best thing I’ve ever done was go to the musee d’orsay, upstairs there’s a dining room. In fact I think it’s more beautiful than Versailles, I don’t know how to make reservations but if you get in line first -which is what I did, you could possibly get to dine in that beautiful room. It was unbelievable.

Last year in Rome I did the opposite: went to 3 different art museums without checking what paintings are there in advance. Have you ever been jumpscared by Botticelli while turning a corner? It's the best feeling ever! Like meeting a bunch of old friends unexpectedly.

i disagree with the last tip since i think it depends on the music. sometimes, it can actually help you focus and meditate with the work more. also some museums are noisy and chatter is distracting. the rest of the tips are 💯 tho!
