@em.eggert: Replying to @Effie Protopapadakis hope this helps! It definitely takes some practice but this is my fav way to finish sewing sleeveless tops without bias tape! 🩷 #sewingtutorial #sewing #sew #sewtiktok #sewin

I am *very* new to sewing. But I thought the purpose of bias tape was that it is fabric cut on a diagonal/bias and therefore has more stretch, therefore it helps hold the shape of the garment by pulling the hole back together when pulled?

Finally someone said it. I have a shirt almost exactly like this that’s been sitting unfinished for a month because I hate bias tape 🙃😂

Yeah me too! Bias tape adds weight to the lines and it doesn’t look professional unless you have a special flimsy fabric that is pre-made.

This is random but how do you setup your phone for the perfect POV? The video of you sewing was so clear. 😳

Bias agains bias too, hear me out. Try a facing! So much less fussy than the rolling you’re doing. It’s such a game changer and less effort with a bigger payoff! I use a facing around arms and necks. It’s so crisp!

I use a washable glue stick for step 1 😳 it washes right off but makes it so much easier for me to get the curve even
