Great information. As a now medically retired public educator and now chronically isolated individual due to chronic pain, I can tell you we were never evolved to do tasks as individuals but in groups. There is no other primate that is forced to take on the endless , insurmountable tasks humans have been burdened with as individuals or as “nuclear families” without any support structure. We are social beings. Our isolation is our undoing.

I think you just gave me an Aha moment. I've been struggling with chronic fatigue for 10 years. And for the last 5 years, I've been saying that I feel like I 'caught' ADHD, but I think based on what you just told me I actually have burnout. 5 years ago, my mother passed away, and I was left on my own to close her estate, through an extremely stressful situation with my 3 siblings. And after that, my fatigue and 'ADHD' has seemed to get much worse - but i think it's burnout.

Definitely, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, depression, OCD, and whole range of mental disorders have things to do with blocking people from success in the life.

I sometimes do things to force myself to get things done. Like mention it to someone that I am doing it at a set time. Or try to act before I can think about IF I want to do it. But that falls flat on its face if I am in the middle of a burnout.
