That s a wrong info tho. To be clear, while women attempt suicide 3 to 4 times more often than men, the rate of completed suicide (death by suicide) is 3 to 4 times higher in men than in women! The reason why men have a higher mortality rate compared to women is that they generally choose more lethal and immediate methods!!!

It’s funny when this argument is used because women attempt 1.5-3x more often than men, but aren’t as successful because they opt for more “sightly” attempts because they want to minimize the trauma of those around them. While men are more likely to opt for more violent attempts and leave a mess for someone to find. Multiple studies have been done to prove this point
