I was always scared of this too I have chrons disease over 10 years I have a 9 year old and 2 year old twins all healthy and healthy pregnancy's 💜

Same especially as I’ve had Crohn’s since I was a baby. Thankfully my children are 18, 11 & 6 and so far none show any signs or symptoms of Crohn’s

i’m very glad i was diagnosed as a child, it gave me time to come to a decision. i can’t risk it and ive know since i was ten. but i have other genetic conditions that are more likely to be passed down. if your daughter does end up having crohn’s she will be in the best care but she has a mum who knows exactly what she’s going through. all i wanted as a child was for someone to have experienced the pain i was and to have someone that understands. no matter what happens your daughter will have that in you x

More likely to get a different autoimmune disease. They can get an autoimmune screen to see what faulty codes they hold. For example I had the codes for coeliac and type 1 diabetes but I don’t have those diseases they’ve not been turned on environmentally. I do have PSC, UC and hashimotos though.

I do sometimes worry about this, I have crohns & my dad has got crohns...I've got 2 children. My consultant said though it's an extremely small chance with passing it onto the kids and not to worry 😅 my husband doesn't have IBD so 🤞

I have three children and this is my biggest fear my 10 year old is currently being tested for it but i know even if it does come back she has it that I will be there every step of they way and hopefully hers will be treated better as there always coming out with new medications that help it. ❤️

Sadly I am facing this right now, my daughter has just been diagnosed at 18, I was 16 when I was diagnosed 😞 it’s tough and I feel incredibly guilty

My husband and I both don’t have Crohn’s my husband has coeliac disease so that was tested when our son was a toddler, Crohn’s came as a huge shock when he was 13. Since found out my husband’s cousin has it and a niece, although it’s hereditary i do feel it’s also very random 💜

My Grammy’s siblings have it. Her sisters and their kids have it. My Grammy had it but never wanted to get diagnosed. My mom has it and is actively trying to get diagnosed. I’m pretty sure I have it as well. I’ll be getting tested too. I feel this with my heart and soul.

Don’t when my daughter was a baby it scared me so much she’s nearly 7 and she suffers with a bad belly but Ibs runs in the family ! So I’m praying to god it isn’t Ibd x
