Remembering the stories my great grandmother told us - can relate to what Joe saying and feeling. April 24 is the 112th year anniversary of when the Assyrian-Armenian genocide was recognized. The Assyrian orthodox Christians in the town my family was from Mardin, Turkey the genocide had already started prior to that in late 1890’s.
