I’d also be curious how things were asked. There was a study done some time ago where it was things where like if a man said that after she said no, if he said something like “are you sure?” It counted as coercion. Even accepting a second no was countered as coercion

if anything i feel like this study highlights how society normalizes behavior that could be considered sa to the point many people don't recognize sa which is a problem with education around sex and consent when she frames it as men just waiting for any opportunity to intentionally say them

I love how kinda useless this study is purely because of its sample size. Like it has its merit in academia as a proof of concept for similar studies, but all it did was show that there are 27 men out there either evil enough to rape or illiterate enough to not fully understand consent, and 11 of those men are more than likely the former. We already knew this! We know there are thousands upon thousands of evil men out there! The addition of 11 from this study proves nothing. We absolutely need to do better in protecting women from these men. Villainizing 1/3 of the male American population based on the empty words of 27 men will not get us anywhere however.

my college sis a survey like this and posted the results as 9/10 college students would smeksully ahhault or worse. questions included "would you have a friend help you " as in getting introduced or wingmanned. and "would you target a complete stranger specifically for sex" ... like a 1 night stand is a crime?

so the goal post was moved from 62 million American men across the board to 30 something percent of college men said something and even those numbers are wrong. wow
