I feel like if I don’t like a book I just don’t like and I keep it moving. Bad book reviews are annoying most the time.. books/art are all subjective there’s no way to really quantify that.

It’s honestly exhausting. They bend over backwards trying to justify why they “just don’t vibe” with books by authors of color, but the second it’s trendy, they’re front and center pretending to advocate. It feels less like genuine support and more like them dressing up their own bias in long, over-explained reviews. At some point it stops being thoughtful and just becomes annoying and performative.

Thank you ! Yes , you can’t 💩 on any of their books cause they will attack for saying you don’t like it or convince you to listen to the audio or another book from the same author. And when you go explain everything you don’t like about it they tell you well that’s your opinion.
