I’ve been taking him to a veterinarian for four sessions, and they gave him Noroclav and Coralex with salmon oil, or something like that… and Veraflox for a while. The poor thing, after all these sessions, is still scratching himself until he draws blood around his eyes, and he licks his paws (if he isn’t wearing the cone).
He doesn’t just scratch himself when the cone is off. He lifts a paw to his head and pretends like he’s licking himself, but he actually tears at the area around his eyes with his claws.
I honestly don’t know what else to do or where else to take him. Now they’re telling me that starting Monday they will do X-rays and other tests from the beginning, more “serious” ones, but I really don’t know what progress that will bring.
If he doesn’t have the cone on, he scratches himself constantly until he injures himself. He only got rid of his fleas three months ago, and since then I’ve been taking him to the vet regularly. They kept giving him the same medication and injections to stop the itching, but he is practically back to how he was before.
I don’t know what other option or path to take. Whenever the wounds are about to dry or heal, he goes crazy with the urge to scratch, and he keeps tearing himself open again and again.
