If you’re using prescription topicals, you should not be using toners or serums. All that’s going to do is irritate your skin barrier unnecessarily. Just use La Roche Posay double repair moisturizer and a basic face wash.

My routine got mad simple when I started. At night panoxl WASH if you’re having a breakout or feeling a breakout. Tirtir milky toner and then Trey and then moisturizer if you want, sometimes I skip the last step because oily/acne prone skin too. I started with the 2/3/every other day method and now use every night. Tret is already a cream don’t do to much

Oily/acne means you have a damaged barrier. Your skin is overproducing lipids due to lack of hydration giving the illusion that you have oily skin. Gentle water based cleanser-NO GEL, Naturium bounce back mist, Naturium Hyaluronic acid serum and Naturium plant ceramide rich moisture cream and SPF religiously. Cleanse, mist, Trentinon/azeleic acid (wait 10 mins), then HA serum, moisturizer. We’re headed into summer so you may need a lighter moisturizer for the day time like their multi-peptide. Clean ingredients, cheap and actually does the job.
You should not be using toners or serums with prescription topicals. Cosrx ceramide cream, la roche baume, elta md sunscreen, and cetaphil bar cleanser.

I cut everything from my skincare routine and am just using round lab 1025 cleanser and peach slices snail rescue moisturizer. anything else seems to irritate my skin. I do keep aestura atobarrier365 cream and LRP Cicaplast Balm B5+ as they were recommended when the skin gets too irritated. everyone's skin reacts differently to things so just go back to the basics and add one new item in at a time. just my experience

Sandwich your actives between two moisturizing layers. Depending if it’s day or night, I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum or vitamasques milk glaze, then KA or Tret, then vitamasques moisturizer. Then I use mineral sunscreen (day) or la roche posay cicaplast skin barrier cream (night) I’ve tried many alternatives but this is the only way the prescriptions won’t make me feel like my skin is burning off.

hi estie here who specializes in acne. if you add anything, add a milky toner. it will help support your barrier bc tretinoin is such a strong active. tirtir milk skin is a great lightweight option for acne prone skin or byoma milky. use day and night. azelaic acid in the morning w spf always, tret at night a few nights a week to start. you can also incorporate a barrier serum at night to sandwich the tret. krave great barrier relief is a great lightweight option for your skin type. at night- cleanse, milky toner, barrier serum, tret, lightweight moisturizer (cocokind electrolyte water cream is perf for your skin type) 💗

Hi ! I’m on these same prescriptions. I use a hydrating milky toner, hyaluronic acid & cicalfate support serum and a moisturizer. I find this works best for me to support my barrier with these harsh actives!
