@sweetsimplevegan: Crispy Nori Tofu 🥰 Recipe below! Ingredients Tofu * Firm tofu, pressed * Nori * Cornstarch * Oil Sauce * 1/3 cup soy sauce * 1/3 cup sugar or maple syrup, as desired * 3 tbsp rice vinegar * 1 tbsp hoisin * 2 cloves garlic * 1 tsp grated ginger * 2 scallions, chopped with whites and greens separated * 1 tbsp sesame oil * Toasted sesame seeds 1. Press tofu for 30 minutes. 2. Half and wrap with nori. 3. Slice and coat with cornstarch. 4. Fry in hot oil on both sides until golden. 5. Simmer all of the sauce ingredients together until thickened. 6. Top with sauce of choice, sesame seeds and greens of scallions. 7. Serve with steamed rice and whatever else you’d like. I saw one chick but a little bit of Flower in the frying oil to keep the splattering down and it also helped them to brown really good. It was pretty cool. Gives um some extra flavor as well.
