Hey Janie, I’ve been watching u for over a year now ever since i’ve gotten my hermit crabs. just yesterday, I bought 2 giant hermit crabs coming from petco, I put them in my original not thinking abt them potentially having ppds, When i put them in, one of them already went down to molt but i heard it crawling and stratching the floor for over an hour, but it eventually stopped during the night. Then my other hermit crab is out is the open but isnt moving and their antennae’s are moving but are down. I’m assuming it does have ppds and is stressed. but before it decides to molt, should i make a ppds tank and transfer him there or leave him for now? im not sure what to do considering his behavior is off.

My little guy named applesauce (he had a apple with a worm on his shell) I got him a few weeks ago around march 31st he sat in corners and one night I seen him digging and he was gone under the sand he’s a golf ball sized I think he’s molting since he’s been down there for so long is that true?
