the restaurant i work at one time had a full buyout and we blocked all reservations after 2pm because we were closing at 2:30pm to make sure the restaurant was empty and set up for the special event. and at like 4pm this lady told me she had a reservation with us and she doesn’t know what to do bc we were closed and not taking anyone inside anymore, i then asked her what time her reservation was at because it was not possible for her to have one after 2pm. her reservation was at 1:15pm… and i told her she missed her reservation by 3 hours and she was not happy😭

Reservations are made for a reason if you make your reservation for at 7:30 you need to be here at 7:30 now most places are nice and will keep a reservation until 745 but if you’re more than 15 minutes late, you lose that reservation so then your reservation is no longer good
