You should study sociology. Your ideas are amazing and I feel like you’d be able to develop them more. I dunno what you do but you’d do amazing working with people js.

drugs are inanimate objects. they are not good or bad they just ARE. they just exist. people choose to do good or bad things

“Substances aren’t bad themselves, substances just exist. It’s the relationship people have with them that can make them bad” from Midnight Gospel on Netflix is a quote that has stuck with me

also….why do people assume using drugs = addiction. partaking ≠ dependency. those who occasionally drink aren’t labeled alcoholics so why is it assumed those who partake must be addicted? i agree substances are morally neutral, it’s about the ability to do it responsibly that matters

8 years sober from drugs, never stole or hurt a single person. I was the victim, and I am so glad I beat it.

Ironically, when I was at the height of my addiction, that’s when I was seen as trustworthy, respectable, honest, a good friend etc. it’s when I quit and actually became these things that people became uncomfortable with true honesty.

plus the argument of "doing drugs=bad or bad person" doesnt even take into account peer pressure, exposure from a young age, seeing others do it and them talking positively of it, etc.
