He knows how to play you, and you fall for it every time. Set your boundaries. Stick to it. He will self regulate.

We noticed this with my 13 month old too… supposedly it’s a separation anxiety thing and they “release” all of their pent up anxiety when they see their favorite person 🥺

Cuz you enable him. I know it's hard to hear them cry. But if you keep picking him up every time he cries, he'll expect you to keep carrying him. It's ok to let him cry. Set boundaries, you deserve a moment or two

This does not change. My 4 year old son and 2.5 daughter are still like this with me. Anyone else watches them and their like they haven’t cried at all and almost immediately I’m in the door and now their emotionally unregulated and sensitive to everything 🫠

Our daycare teacher told us “he has lower expectations for us than he has for you” and that has made me feel a lot better

My guy does the same thing. It's exhausting but remember you're doing great! How lucky are we that our babies feel safe enough to regulate their emotions with us.

That’s so hard sister! Praying he grows out of it! Idk the answer. But I think he just loves you so much because you’re an amazing mom 🤍 and his little brian can’t handle it yet.

My son is 2 years 8 months and he only wants mom, NOTHING to do with dad. But when I’m not around he is awesome… soooo I’m the problem too lol and I sound crazy to everyone. Boys are obsessed with their moms. No break for us bc I’m the only one that can bathe him or even blow his nose. 😓😓😓

Both my kids do this too! It just shows how much of a bond you have together! You’re his safe person where he feels the most comfortable to let go of his emotions. I know it’s tough but it won’t always be this way 🩵

Its because he feels completely safe with you. He knows he doesn’t need to hold his emotions with mama. Its his safe place. Really normal. You’re not the problem. You are the solution of his soothing need. ❤️You’re the best mama. Don’t feel bad!

It’s because he has learned if he makes enough of a fuss he will pick him up and that’s what he’s looking for

Dude, you’re not the problem. You’re his mom, most babies do this, it’s normal for babies to be attached to their mothers.
