@starchbtw: Think Linux has no serious software? MS Office, Photoshop, Premiere, OneNote, game launchers, remote desktop tools — most “deal-breaker” Windows apps already have powerful Linux alternatives. Some are cleaner, some are free, and some are just better. #linux #software #techtok #opensource #windows

Why not Libreoffice and Krita instead?

This is what linux users don't get. People don't want alternatives. I use photoshop and premiere for my job. I can't change them. And I don't want to learn from the start apps just so I can say I changed the apps I liked and used for 20 years. Also I play online games and I don't want to have to check websites to see if a game I like is playable.

davinci resolve is officially supported only on rhel and Centos, in any other case you need to use distrobox or unofficial AUR or flatpak builds

I need Teams for my job. Also OneDrive with permissions, and Excel with macros. I am a Linux enthusiast, I love it, but it is impossible for me and the white collar workers to be productive on Linux. I am glad that gaming is slowly changing this.

The only things still stopping my full switch to Linux are XBOX games (I mean the MSStore ones), Unreal Engine, and my NVidia GPU. I know UE runs on Linux, but I wasn't able to make it work, and my NVidia Drivers were missing features like the NVidia overlay. But the MSStore games? I have NO idea.

even though I HATE Adobe I have to say that Photoshop is better than affinity, and Resolve is also for windows, double commander is waaay too cluttered, I want one single explorer window without menues

I'm pretty new to Linux but I'm finding it much easier to understand than Windows or even Apple. After a while you really start to see how inefficient the other options are.
