@larcington: Finally, we now see where they got the “LION” part of their name. Literally roaring like the king of the jungle (seaside) These are South American Sea Lions. They have been mingling with humans for generations (last saw them in the same exact spot in 2018) and are generally not as aggressive as the wild ones in remote areas. But still, proper distance must be observed. We were told that locals keep 1-2 meters away from them, but to be safe and to give them space, I went for 3-5 meters distance unless there is a physical barrier. #sealion #animals #fyp #foryou #antofagasta
