Going off season 1 vs season 1. Aang would’ve got washed because he only knew air bending but if given time to learn he would make it. Korra out the gate knew how to bend more elements but needed training to hone those skills and learn air bending so she would have an advantage, would maybe beat Zuko but definitely washed by Azula.

It begs the question does 'swap places' mean Korra was stuck for 100 years at age 12 and Aang got specialized training for 16 years? Aang was a master Airbender at 12 without a specialized training program. He mastered water, earth and became adept at fire in a summer. I think Korra mastered water at 8, earth at 12 and fire at 16.

If they swap Aang would have 17 years to learn all the elements(he mastered 3/4 elements by 12 while being hunted), korra would have to not only master the elements, she would also have to master the avatar state which by 21 she hasn’t done either of…. Yeah sure tho korra at 21 who still doesn’t do anything as good as a 12 year old is stronger😂

Arguing about this is pointless. Aang became who he is with the loss of his nation. If they switched, the water tribes would have been wiped out. Korra would probably stay and fight. Never get frozen, and none of the current events would happen to begin with. And even with a similar situation Aang being a pacifist would probably not be able to handle the political situation. Korra's personality and actions brought the conclusion to season one not her bending. Both are cooked.

people seem to forget aang learned all the elements in the span of A YEAR & a modest mastery at best due to time constraints it's part of why they were constantly on the move, including running from the fire nation brigades & prince zuko where even flying at points were literally not an option Allina time fir the strongest manifestation of firebending outside of the dragons themselves

He was not passing Amon comfortably. Adult Aang needed the Avatar state to beat Yakone and Amon was more powerful. Like I don’t think he’d die but he’d definitely be struggling like Korra was. He’d just have an easier time with the political aspect.

if season 1 of each swapped then aang was put in an era of peace. there wasn't crime and the crime that was happening wasn't a danger the avatar needed to be part of till way later. aang would have had multiple years to learn the other elements.
