(It’s only to Pakistan, Oman and Russia, but, you know, ✨The World Tour✨) People assumed he was going to resume talks with the US, but neither the US nor Iran has confirmed this. I think one of the agenda items is a secret meeting with Xi and the Chinese government. I’m speculating wildly, but I think China might be ready to step up their involvement. While they’ll almost certainly never admit to helping Iran militarily or do anythinf overt, they need to get that strait open immediately or it’s going to damage the Chinese economy and significantly set back their 5 year plan. And if there’s one thing the Chinese cannot abide, it’s fucking up their economy. They’re in a difficult spot, because they have a pretty strict policy of non-interventionism but if they don’t start intervening, they’re going to have some serious economic problems on their hands.

I know you are a big China defender and as a Chinese I’ve been following this conflict closely. Listening to experts and even the opinions of my mum, the Chinese are involved, because even my apolitical mother was surprised by the asymmetrical warfare Iran was executing. The CPC during the civil war was executing asymmetrical warfare, they have a lot of experience. Iran never waged war in the last 200 years, only when it was attacked. Even last year in the 12 day war, it was messy. Where did they get so good? Another thing you are overlooking is the fact, that Iran lies in the heart of the new belt and Road initiative. If Iran falls, one of the biggest projects fails. This is direct attack on China. China has been hoarding gas/oil for decades, they knew that Hormuz was a problem and they are prepared to sustain this. If this is gonna end, well who is the biggest winner? China who has cheap solar panels, windmills and EVs. China thinks long term and all the international statements put out by China, do not convince me. The US has been the biggest bully forever and China may say we are not involved, well I’m not convinced 😅 because to many things point to China.
