The GP-5 uses GOST threading, and is incompatible with NATO filters (I have a gp-5 too) If you use NATO filters, you can and will damage the threads. There are GOST to NATO filter converters that you could buy, or you can get GOST thread filters that are safe, like the Chinese PA-2 or the polish FP-5 filters
