@ethantobiaswild: Oxpeckers feed on ticks and parasites found on larger animals skin, creating what’s called a symbiotic relationship. The bird gets food and the host gets a free clean. But it’s not always perfectly balanced. Oxpeckers will also feed on blood, picking at wounds which can sometimes do more harm than good.
