I have that in my phone settings on battery it's called basic. it stops charging once your phone reaches 100.

Say u charge ur phone at midnight it’s already at 90%. So at 100% it spits out the charger. So from 12:15 until u wake up, let’s say 8am. It hasn’t been charged for 8 hours so it won’t 100% this makes no fucking sense.

yeah but once it disconnects while im sleeping my phone will be dead when I wake so I'll leave my phone on cord all night plus my phone will put charging on pause once it is fully charged

Phones and batteries have a safety measure to prevent overcharging. You cannot exceed 100%. Plus my phone is an S10. If that unplugged at 3am, my battery would be at like, 80% when my alarm goes of at 6:35.
