HOW IT ALL HAPPENED 👇🏼 . . I’ve had so many questions about how I end up interviewing your favourite actors / singers / celebs with little (to no 🤣) experience as a presenter. In general I would say I have accidentally trained as a presenter through my acting and improvisation training. I lean on this heavily for a lot of social media videos, skits & performances. But my improv training is truly the winner for this one as you really need to go with the flow of how the interview and interviewee is vibing with the questions/tone of the interview & adjusting to suit. I’m big on making sure everyone is comfortable. 🙂‍↔️ . For this one in particular, I had been invited to the premiere of ‘The Madison’ with @Paramount+ UK & Ireland and as an actor alongside my LOVE for country music, my dream franchise is #yellowstone. Yellowstone, The Madison, Dutton Ranch, Marshall’s etc are all in the Taylor Sheridan universe. I jumped at the opportunity and flew over for the premiere networking with people and explaining my desire for junkets or anything else if ever something came up whilst chatting to the Paramount team and thanking them profusely for the invite. I posted around 10 videos about the premiere, I wanted to go above and beyond to show my genuine gratitude but also should they desire to work with me, this is the level of deliverables they could expect. . I didn’t just attend the premiere, I worked it. Following on from this the incredible Paramount team then went on to invite me to their box at @The O2 for @C2CFestival again jumping at the chance whilst creating content around and for it. Yet again sharing my love for the franchise with the incredible team. . . Then one day I woke up in LA 8hrs behind UK/ Ireland and saw I had been asked if I was available/interested to be put forward for this. Naturally I nearly died but politely said yes please 🤣 . Because I was 11hrs away I knew I’d need to fly back without confirmation. So I did. I changed flights . Cancelled the rest of my trip (New York I’ll visit you yet 🍎). Because the reality is - if this is the kind of work you want to do, you have to be so ok with it being unstable. Not knowing your schedule week to week. Losing money here and there to take free opportunities. It was the best experience of my life & I am forever grateful to the Paramount team for trusting me & just being pure legends. . I hope this was insightful for those wanting to pursue similar.
