Rockstar bought the studio when they saw the advancements they were making in facial video capture because they wanted to add it to their RAGE engine. LA Noire was 100% Team Bondi

Team Bondi delivered the goods. Rockstar just paid for credit, essentially. They're a one trick pony that outsource creativity, buying their CEOs more time on dodgy islands.

Rockstar Games did not technically take over from Team Bondi mid-development, but they heavily intervened by sending in their own producers and developers to save L.A. Noire during the final two years of production due to Team Bondi's project mismanagement. Following the game's release and severe workplace controversies, Rockstar officially cut ties with the studio.A breakdown of the dynamic between the two companies reveals the following:Financial & Creative Rescue: L.A. Noire took roughly seven years to develop and faced severe delays, budget overruns, and oppressive crunch periods. Rockstar's producers took increasing control over the last two years to overrule Team Bondi's management, and they even pitched in with their own programmers and artists to finish the game. The Workplace Controversy: Following the game's 2011 release, former employees leaked internal emails and detailed severe "crunch" conditions (such as 110-hour work weeks) and abusive management. The Split: Due to this scandal and a strained relationship between the companies, Rockstar and Team Bondi eventually parted ways. Rockstar acquired the L.A. Noire intellectual property outright.Aftermath: Team Bondi went into voluntary administration and closed its doors in late 2011. Later, many of the core Team Bondi staff (including studio founder Brendan McNamara) resurfaced under a new studio called Video Games Deluxe, which Rockstar acquired and rebranded as Rockstar Australia

Rockstar had some of the best games across multiple genres but Strauss Zelnick just wants to milk GTA mad RDR for the last decade and going foward for guaranteed money

they still use assets from it. I noticed that in red dead 2 when you pick up objects and examine them it's the same mechanic in this. and there is a Marston in one case.they should make a sequel to this instead of red dead
