I actually agree with her pointtiming matters. But in a lot of cultures it gets turned into “never tell your partner about your past,” and I don’t agree with that. For me, it’s not about hiding it, it’s about withholding it until trust is established through actions, not just words. If I’m building a life with someone, my past matters and if they’d use it against me, they’re not the right person anyway. So yeah, not “never tell,” just “not right away.” Let them show you who they are first.
