LeBron brought out the best in kyrie. He wanted kyrie succeed along side him. As much as I love Kobe, I don’t think kyrie would’ve been that good if they played each other because of how ball dominant Kobe is.

It’s cuz he basically became a sidekick before he established himself as the guy. Imagine your whole life ur the best player in all your teams and ur picked with the number one pick to be the franchise player but before u establish that, ur forced into being the 2 where no matter how well u play, ur always the sidekick. You can hit one of the clutches shots but the narrative will always be that u were just a part of brons greatness. It’s not that he didn’t like playing with bron, he just wanted to be the it guy in the nba for once and when it didn’t work out in Boston, he went to Brooklyn because it was less of a bron’s teammate and more of the big 3.

i think what people don’t understand about the situation and why he left is that when he got drafted to the cavs he was supposed to get the role as the lebron of the team just like how cooper flag is supposed to be the next luka for the mavs but putting lebron on the cavs after a season or 2 after kyrie got drafted is like putting giannis on the mavs and cutting out the part that cooper was supposed to be the franchise player and everyone was calling kyrie the sidekick when that wasn’t supposed to be his role and as time went on he got tired of that narrative and there was nothing he could do about it until he left and he led the celtics to a 2nd seed and got injured before playoffs and then everything related to accolades went downhill. everyone knows he’s extremely skilled a really good teammate and arguably the best 2nd option ever but the day he was drafted his future was him supposed to be a franchise player
