@podsavetheuk: Journalist Zoë Grünewald shares her frustration at a recent article in the New Statesman: “Meet the Angry Young Women.” Is it really fair to compare these feminists to the manosphere? Exclusive clip out now, on YouTube!
I’ve a flat tyre and broken brake pads. Both dangerous but I’m only fixing the tyres cos that the most obvious issue… both need fixed as they are both dangerous

it’s so weird to draw conclusions about an entire generation of women from one single feminist book club too

but they're not mutually exclusive. 2 things on either side can be bad at the same time

The manosphere leads to literal violence against women, girls & the LGBTQIA+ community, and women wanting to be seen & treat as human beings being treated as the same thing is laughable. I cannot stand centrists’ inability to think critically and envision a better mode of existence. Neutrality is just cowardice and tacit approval of fascism.

If they want a women-centred toxic sphere to analyse, they need only look at the violent transphobia that is pipelining otherwise liberal groups of women to the far right. They won’t do that though, because media like the New Statesman think that kind of radicalisation is okay.

It very much can be though, and it’s harder to pick out because the history of feminist campaigning, and the culture around female empowerment/womens issues is a normal part of our culture and has been for many decades. Everywhere in film/tv, radio shows, books, female talk shows. People simply don’t notice it bubbles over to hate like they do men. I’d say it’s FAR more normal to see “get rid of all men” “I hate men” “4B” than the reverse.
