Don't forget Rock Hudson. He was close friends with then President and First Lady Ronald & Nancy Reagan. Rock Hudson was trying to get treatment from a French doctor who was making strides with a successful but experimental AIDS treatment but was almost impossible to see. Hudson wrote to the First Lady, explained he had AIDS & asked for their help in getting in to be seen by this doctor & the First Lady responded with: I dont think we should get involved. Hudson died several weeks later.
