It was a struggle in the early eighties, it was superb in 84, a blow in 88. But didn't we have a magnificent season when we won promotion in 1989. We had some very special players. Dixon, Speedie, Kevin, Thomas, and Spackman and defenders Pates, McClaughlan, Joey Jones, Dougie and Graham Roberts were superb players but Steady Eddie in goal was very special. A young Scottish player McAllister was a real gem as well. Then there was the dynamo Paul Cannonville. What a team we had.
