Middle School Principal here: I think it’s two things: 1) It’s easiest to believe the lie, 2) Parents believe it’s a reflection on them - which is true sometimes, but kids are still people with free will.

Unbelievable, kudos to the first mom for being responsible. Second mother , I dont even know what to say. She's teaching her kid that she can do whatever she wants and there will be no consequences from her. Lord help us all!

I am so glad I don’t have a dog in this fight anymore. 😞 My daughter is a a teacher but I let her handle her business LOL. This mom was awesome …and as I tell my youngest ..”you couldn’t pay me enough to do what you do daily in a city school” 💯
