NEVER NEVER EVER FILL A FILTER LIKE THIS GUY DID! Oil/fuel flows through the small outside holes and is then filtered and comes out the center hole. If the filter doesn’t come with a special pre fill adapter then you do not pre fill it otherwise you are introducing contaminants into you engines lubrication/fuel system.

I love how everyone argues about this. In my 46 years I’ve yet to blow up a motor and I prefill every time. Do what you want.

Better solution that I use, hold the gas pedal down to the floor to activate clear flood mode, let the engine crank until oil pressure builds up, release pedal to start, the engine isn’t dry just because oil was drained, the bearings and galleries still retain enough oil to not run dry during cranking

Engines are never “completely dry”. You’re looking at something called the BEST of the WORST practices. Let’s fill the filter with unfiltered”clean” oil , in the unfiltered section of the oil filter.

2018 F150 4wd w/ 5.0L & Roush … the filter is mounted to the front of the block on its side, what would be the best way for filling this filter without making a complete & total mess?!?

I only use aftermarket high performance oil filters with pennzoil… synthetic. And about a 1/3 tank of jet fuel

What you’re saying is false information on 6.7 power strokes new oil from the jug isn’t perfectly clean like you think. And from the video you poured it directly in the middle part of the oil filter so that’s the improper way to pre fill a filter if you’re going to do it you fill it in the small inlet holes on the filter you just poured it into the clean side of the filter
