It's called MCP. Turn it on and your AI can reach straight into your real tools. "Pull everyone who bought the starter product but never upgraded" — done, it queries your database. "Find the angry message from last night and draft a reply in my tone" — done, it reads your inbox. "Make me three thumbnails and a thirty-second promo" — done, it calls the image and video tools itself. The stuff you'd normally lose an hour clicking through five apps to do is now one sentence. Quick honesty so I'm not overselling it: developers have always been able to connect AI to tools with code — APIs, the command line. MCP is just the version you can flip on yourself, no code. Think of it like USB-C, but for AI: one standard plug, any tool. And I show you exactly how to turn it on today. In the normal Claude app, it's under Settings → Connectors — you click a tool, sign in, and you're done.
