@_lexi_nocturna_: Today’s “Creepy Crypts” takes us out to Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA to visit the final resting place of American Actor Mickey Rooney. Mickey Rooney ( September 23 1920- April 6, 2014) was a well known and well regarded actor whose career spanned over 9 decades allowing him to star in over 300 films. He was one of the last surviving actors from the silent film era and from 1939-1941 he was the top paid actor during that time with an incredibly high demand. Throughout the 1930’s- 1940’s, he was well known for his portrayal of his character “Andy Hardy” that skyrocketed his image and helped solidify his American image. His career was extraordinary being at just 15-25 years of age when he was appearing in around 43 films and was regarded as “one of the most consistent successful actors” by Metro Goldwyn- Mayer Studios. He graced the stage in so many ways and was awarded with so many outstanding awards including Golden Globe, Emmy, and even juvenile awards of the sorts for his age at the time. He was also awarded for his time drafted in World War 2 with a Bronze Star medal. His career however was very up and down as well as some aspects of his life, and that is the tragic tale of actor Mickey Rooney unfortunately that earned him the title of being “the original Hollywood train-wreck”. He was laid to rest at Hollywood Forever cemetery in 2014 when he passed away at the age of 93 from natural causes. #hollywood #cemetery #actor #oldhollywood #mickeyrooney
