@thecosyfixer: I didn’t realise how much easier this could be until I tried it like this. This isn’t a full professional setup. Just a simple way of working with gold leaf that makes it feel more manageable. Cutting the sheets down gives you more control, especially on smaller areas and the brush just needs a bit of static to pick the leaf up properly. Once you get the hang of it, gilding feels a lot less fiddly.
