I hate that everyone is being so mean in the comments because clearly they've never been the one left behind. not everyone wants to have children and that's absolutely fine, your friends shouldn't ghost you for it. not coming to a book release and not supporting someone through a divorce is just crappy behavior.

My bestie and I met when we were 11 and 12. We’ll be 40 and 41 this year. She moved back to Cali in 18 years ago, next month. We talk almost every day. I go on my lunch break when she’s getting ready for work - since there’s a 2hr time difference and I go to work at 5am my time / 3am her time. It’s not hard if you put in the effort. I’ve got 6 kids in my home right now. She’s childfree.

Her beef is with her sister NOT her niece. Her aunt is responsible for keeping up the relationship with her niece even if that means calling her sister for visits or writing yearly letters

My godfather made one for me when I was born in 1998, I was only allowed it when I turned 18 if I graduated high school. I didn’t so he didn’t give it to me lol I never even thought about being upset about it cause it was fair lol

Just remember everyone - no one is saying literally do this - so if you think it's not ethical or fair, that totally fine. These kinds of sketches have literal messages, but are also like thought experiments, the point is to get you thinking differently and considering other points of view.

As a childless couple - I completely agree with this. My siblings have kids, I used to send them Easter baskets and birthday gifts, then cards with gift cards. Never a thank you note or a call acknowledging receipt - if they weren’t sent fedex, I would have no idea they ever received them. So I stopped sending anything - no cards no gifts. My siblings were raised to write thank you notes and call to thank people for gifts etc. They also would never call to see how we were doing, or congratulate us for a new job, selling a company, starting another company etc So we got the hint, that we were not that important in their lives, so we moved on. So We changed our wills and now we are leaving our estate to our god sons and my best friends kids - all trusts. We also took the funds we were saving for our nieces and nephews for college and started an education scholarship.
