@belovedcabin: I’m definitely a healthier person these days… not because I’ve got my life together… but because I literally cannot afford to be sick. Like… that’s the motivation now. Not looking good naked. Not looking 10 years younger. Just trying to stay out of the ER. Getting sick in this economy? Absolutely not. We don’t have time or money for that. Last week my husband thought he was having a heart attack… and he still hesitated going to the ER… Because we already knew… you might survive the heart attack… but the bill is gonna finish the job. And that’s so f$ked up. You think you’re about to die and your brain is like… “how much is this gonna cost us though?” And I’m like… b*?!h, please go. We’ll figure it out later. That shouldn’t be a thing. But it is. That’s part of why we live off-grid. Not for the aesthetic… not for Instagram… but because we’re trying to survive without drowning in bills. We’ve got med kits, emergency supplies… we handle as much as we can ourselves… Because going to the doctor feels like a luxury now. Like… oh, you got “doctor money”? Must be nice. 😑(I’m like… hello… we live in a shed.) We’re just out here staying strong because we have to. Drinking rainwater, making power from the sun, pooping in a bucket, trying to stay zen AF, minding our business… Because getting sick is not in the budget. For those asking about my “badass outdoor gym” 😂 @RITFIT Sports got me set up No membership. No AC. No excuses. Just dirt, sweat, and getting it done out here. 💪
