Step mom here. When me and my husbands kids got to a bad point I moved out and let them fix their relationship and me and them fix our relationship. Two years living apart and we were able to fix everything and now we are back under one roof and all happy. The kids always have to come first ALWAYS

My mum did the same thing when I was 17 ❤️just remember when they break up, she will try and reach out to you. She will probably expect you to do the emotional labour of mending her after her breakup and making her feel better by saying she’s not a bad mum. But she is and she will regret missing the milestones of a teenager when you become adultified and don’t need her anymore. also remember to not contact her on mothers day since she decided to stop being one 🥰
