my guess is, the game runs code to check IRL date and time. So when you reload the world the loading screen takes a bit more time as the game calculates how many ticks to process since last login.

I’d call that a retroactive update more than a real time update. Where at real time every chunk would be loaded. This only figures out how history would have gone if you had been in that job once you re-enter it right? Also, maybe lose the clicker.
