Its because a new law that came out last year so a lot landlords are trying to be one step ahead and get new tenants before it changes for good this year x

The same thing happened to me tell the council your landlord wants you out and they should refer you to housing association which is a lot better rent is a lot cheaper and it’s for life. Hope this helps hun xx

It’s happening everywhere… my whole estate has been given section 21’s that’s over 100 people now given sections 21! It’s absolutely ridiculous at the moment

I am in same position. but the council advised me to stay until baillifs come but we have to pay the court fees and bailliffs fees

Same thing happened to me, it took a whole year from the first letter of eviction to the time bailiffs came. Bailiffs evicted me in Feb 2025 and i got my permanent new build in June same year. I stayed in a travel lodge for only 4 months, i got really really lucky (in a London borough too) There is hope, hopefully the journey is easy for you 🤞🏼❤️xx

I'm very sorry to hear of the situation. Unfortunately it's very common right now due to all the new regulations and tax changes. It's just not worth it for landlords anymore and they're selling up.

I’ve lived in my house for 16 years and I was served a section 21 in February. I was supposed to be out 2nd April. Council won’t do anything till possession order or baliffs. I’ve not even had an assessment yet

this recently happened to us. went through council took a year to get housed. the council will try and get you private to start with you just have to prove you can't afford it. it was hard journey for us but worth it in the end. be strong your find your forever home soon 🥰

I got section 21 in 2023 finalised eviction 2024 council put me in b&b for 6weeks then complained complained whilst in dere due to not being suitable for my household then got moved to 2bed temp n had to fight for main duty now I’m currently bidding but also can get direct offer housing is just long but even wen I say I’m gonna private rent they want so much requirements kmt
