ive used these for 6 years they work really well just make sure u make one full pass to learn the panel, yes its 50/50 if u do it on 1st pass on panel so deff make a learn pass then 2nd pass will pin point the breaker an double triple check power is off at the plug for safety

The receptacle would have still worked with reverse polarity. That's something that home inspectors find all the time when a homeowner replaced them himself. But they do still work.
