@leewilsoncreates: 🌌 The Milky Way over the Nisga’a Lavabeds — my best capture in years of astrophotography. Shot under a Bortles Class 2 sky, one of the darkest and most pristine skies in British Columbia, this image was captured using a star tracker for pinpoint-sharp stars and an astro-modified camera tuned to detect H-alpha emissions — revealing the deep reds and pinks of hydrogen nebulosity invisible to the naked eye and standard cameras. The Nisga’a Lavabeds, formed by one of Canada’s most recent volcanic eruptions, make for an otherworldly foreground beneath one of the universe’s most breathtaking sights. Standing here in the dark, the silence is total — just ancient lava, ancient light. This is why I do this. #astrophotography #britishcolumbia #indigenioustiktok #canada #milkywayphotography
