So many good finds! As someone who lives on the base of Leavenworth, this is one of the safest bases ever. Many parents do let their kids out to play and ride bike however many sit in their patios and supervise them while they play and get some energy out some don’t which but we have on base rules that many tend to follow for underage children when they play outside. This base is very military police heavy so again if you’re living in the base your most likely living next to someone who works a shift or has military police knowledge and public safety.

My husband (Army working at Fort Leavenworth) and I went looking for a lawn mower bc we just moved into a house off base. 1) I did not realize how big this garage sale was. Even though my husband warned me and said we needed to be there early. It was crazy. 2) We passed a lot of lawn mowers, all electric. Then finally found a gas one and they gave it to us for $15. I was prepared to pay $100-$150 based on FB marketplace prices. I definitely got a little thrift/garage sale high from that deal😂 As we drove around we saw really good prices. Saw about 5 cars for sale, all really nice! I almost wish we needed more things. My husband doesn’t like the whole garage sale thing so next he’s fine I’ll definitely be inviting my friends to go with me!!🤣

This is insane- I live in one of the neighborhoods you went to and it really is heaven on earth to let our kids just play and ride bikes everywhere! I will say I’ve never experienced this big of a yard sale at any other base and it was so fun!
