Surely the hypoxia part makes sense if schizophrenia so to do with dopaminergic and histaminergic pathways plus I think it’s hippocampal pathways right as damage to those regions regulation will cause increased symptoms?

Holy cow I was born in December, have childhood trauma, always have had cats, a family history of mental illness and have lived in cities. The only thing I've ever been diagnosed with is ADHD. That's alarming!

I am December baby. I was born blue (lack of oxygen) and I don't have it. 😁 My best friend was August. He was a triplet. He had it. 😅

wait, so is the one about being born in the winter months reversed in the southern hemisphere? i was born in december, but in australia, so during the summer. would that mean i'm less likely to develop schizophrenia like a person born in the northern hemisphere in june?

Isnt it more likely to get toxoplasmosis from contaminated meats? I looked into this due to having cats & I read consistently that it’s not as common to get from cats. Obviously I could be wrong, but I see a lot of people mentioning toxoplasmosis only in the context of cats when it seems to be mostly from meat.

My mom has schizophrenia and it runs on her side of my family. I am so afraid my kids will get it. I have 2 teens and I just hope they never develop it. It would shatter my world because Ive seen what my mom has gone through.

I wonder if the birth month has anything to do with the vitamin D situation? Winter months are less sunny and people are outside less so they might get less exposure to vitamin D and sunshine in the latter months of their pregnancy. Ooohhh… and maybe even that the cats will be pooping more often inside during cold months (if they are indoor/outdoor cats) and more rat transmission when they come inside to stay warm too! Super interesting!
