I'm scared, people saying their 3 year old is doing that and mine is 1.5 years and does that. Does that mean I get another 1.5 years of this ?? 💀

My toddler didn’t want his sandwich, so I ate it, he was screaming and crying and trying to pry my mouth open to take it back lol

do people not realise that toddlers will just have a tantrum at any time for any reason....doesn't mean they're spoilt or anything. completely normal part of development.

I also have a toddler, but he doesn’t do this. What I noticed as the difference between what I’m doing and what I saw in the video is this. I’m not saying I’m perfect—I just do things differently.
1. If he grabs or takes something, I don’t take it away from his hands right away. I ask him if he could give it to Mama, or I say, “Can I borrow that please?” Then I slowly take it from him.
2. Around 1.5 years old, they start refusing naps, so I transitioned my baby to one long nap a day—about 2.5 to 3 hours, around 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM—so he doesn’t get cranky. There has never been a day in my son’s life that he didn’t nap. He also sleeps 10–11 hours at night. We never go out during nap time, and we go home when it’s his bedtime.
3. I don’t laugh or react when he does something silly; I correct him right away.
4. My son has had a routine since he was a newborn. He eats in a high chair three times a day, with two snacks. He always knows what’s coming, so even when we go out or travel, his routine mostly stays the same.

Yeah my son is 2 and 3m and it’s getting better… but god forbid you try to hold his hand when walking in public. I have to instead hold the collar of his shirt 😂

I’m here to tell you, it doesnt get better but to me it’s become funnier because the reasons for tantrums become more ridiculous 😂😂

Don’t panic and don’t be afraid of getting embarrassed or calling attention to yourself. Once they notice that you fold under pressure, they continue.
