I work in mental health. She’s experiencing decompensated psychosis and/or mania. She needs to be helped by her loved ones bc she is not thinking clearly enough to help herself.

There is no help. Anyone who has had to deal with a person in psychosis has been screaming for years there is no help. If they aren't a danger to themselves or others and aren't willing to get help, you can't do anything. literally anything. For most it's a cycle of not taking meds, being on 24 hr holds, going to jail, rinse, and repeat. They won't receive help until they do something to themselves or others.

there are numerous online communities (fb groups, etc) centered around this exact delusion. they call it "gangstalking". it's incredibly sad, and incredibly disturbing. and especially so when they're in a fb group full of other people experiencing the same thing, validating them 💔

I dealt with someone like this at work before she seemed super normal then one day she called off and sent me a super long email saying she was the real queen of England and a diplomat of the us government and that Kobe Bryant proposed to her .

it’s so weird how this manifests. there was a woman i came across on her years ago who had the same delusions and made dozens of posts a day about how she was being gangstalked and attacked with lights and stuff. i followed her for a while because i found it fascinating… couldn’t comment for her to get help because she closed her comments, but her username was her actual full name. i looked her up and it turns out she was an attorney in los angeles who lost her license a few months prior and had had a few run-ins with the law since her psychosis began. i wish i could remember her name to see how she’s doing

I am so happy some people are catching on. I’m a tech law attorney. We take on actual hacking cases. There’s a wave of people who think they are hacked or gang stalked but are NOT and are totally unwilling to hear otherwise. And get angry when people try to help. It’s really concerning and sad. I’m working my way up to starting an organization bc there is currently NO ONE even trained in psych to help these individuals. There are so many and we see them almost every day.
