@parksandrecfan: We implemented a 10 minute “quiet time” at the beginning of every lunch period at the school where I work bc of this. 😂 A few parents were upset that their students were bringing home their entire lunch….untouched…..we had to tell them bc your kid yaps the entire time!! 😂😂😂

I'd say if my 2 year old can tell me "no, I don't want to "and" I'm not hungry I want to play" a 7 year old definitely can say that. my 9 year old is just as ostentatious and has been for awhile now. 🤣

I had a talker too, used to pack her bento boxes of things she could pick at and still talk. grapes, cheese cubes, red pepper slices, small salami or turkey cuts, etc

My nieces school starts at 8am and they have lunch her grade at 10:45am. She brings home food and I said you were talking weren't you? She says yes with a smile on her face.
