I am a to-go server/ regular server. I get paid the same hourly as regular servers when i'm in to-gos which at my restaurant is 4 an hour. I know it's not other people's responsibility to pay my wages but our jobs are not going to pay us as they should and your tips will literally only pay my rent because a lot of people do not tip on to-gos. We also do so much for to-go orders we take the orders and put everything together and bring it out to you! everything a regular server does you're just not eating in.

Usually the cooks are paid a livable wage and the servers only meet that with tips. When doing a pick up order there is no server serving you. So in that sense it doesn’t make sense to tip.

Nope because it’s their job not mine. I don’t set their salary. America has abused the tip culture. Before anyone comes at me I started as a waitress it was meant to be temporary until I found something better so I did.
