And don’t forget, in Canada the community health nurse or midwife comes to your house to check on you a few times and even screens for post partum depression to make sure you’re doing ok. No charge.

Canadian here. Love our system, even though we have some flaws in it right now. But I just need to clarify, it's not just free money. It's money we have paid into through our employment insurance that we are getting back.

I’m in Canada , and had a school district job , I had my first of 3 children in 2009. I was turned away from 3 hospitals ended up going back to one and saying “I will have this baby in the hallway if I have too” , and I got a bill for like $700 for a “private room” lol so it’s not perfect here , however I don’t think I ever paid it and nothing happened .

ive never had a problem with Canada's healthcare. ive had several surgeries and no complaints. we pay higher taxes but healthcare is free, our education system is far better. we have broken things but so does every country

2009- emergency c-section, nicu for a month. I was allowed to stay at the hospital with my baby the whole time, everything was supplied, and meals included. Never paid a cent. Not even for parking. 🇨🇦

its actually up to 18 months in Canada now ** and the father can take a portion of it as *paternal leave . I love Being a Canadian having had 3 children
